Les Misérables

October 18th--I had another opportunity to see the play called Les Misérables in Washington D.C. with my two wonderful friends. This play have two wonderful interpreters and it was the main reason why I wanted to go. Actually I went to see Wicked last summer and it was so much fun to watch the interpreters while watching the play.

At first, about two weeks before the play, I saw there was a movie on television and it was Les Misérables. I thought I should watch it and I did. I have learned so much about the story. I was thrilled to watch the play because I understand the story much better than I was in high school.

And this time, I enjoyed so much because of music. Two of musics made me cry! I tried to remember what the songs, but I only able to remember one song called, "Bring Him Home". It was such a beautiful play.  I was glad that I went to see the play. Now I'm looking forward to see other plays in the future when the interpreters are available.

Driving on the Road

Three weeks ago, I was complaining to Annie that I got bored with music on CDs when I drive to school and home almost everyday. Annie took me to Best Buy and get me the wire that can hook from car to my ipod. I can put many songs on my ipod and pick what I want to listen while I am driving.

I was exciting to have my own wire for my car AND I can pick what I want to listen. After one week using this wire, I noticed myself to find what kind of music I want to listen in the morning and in the late afternoon. In the morning, I like to listen exciting and beat music. When I left school, the music was on. I did not want to listen this music and changed it to mellow songs such as classical or something smooth without choppy or lot of crazy with low and high frequencies that fly different directions.

Two days, I was driving on the high way to go home from school. I was exhausted and did not want to listen the crazy music. I decided to turn the player off and not to listen any music for today. After about a minute without any songs, I realized I did not like the quiet sounds.. In my head, I need music! Honestly, I don't know how to describe the feeling but I guess the simplest word in the world. Bored. My arm reached to turn the player on right away. Of course, I changed the songs to different songs that I haven't gave chance to listen.

While I was driving and I was amazing how much I have changed since I got the wire for my car to listen the music. I have developed the habit to listen the music while I'm driving. The funny thing was that I happened to drive quiet such as yesterday morning. I had tough night before because one naughty ice cream caused me to get thing out of my stomach that goes in a toilet. Oh boy.. Anyway I left little later than usually to school. I got in car and started the car--music started playing. I did not want to listen at all. Immediately I turned it off and drive in quiet. I did not mind at all. I think it was appropriate at that moment for me since I did not get some sleep, exhausted, lot of stress, and lot of things racing in my head. Quiet was good idea at this time.

Wow! I think it was very cool to develop some habits with my cochlear implants. I still enjoy some sounds and hate some sounds. I think it's natural to love and to hate something. La-la! Time for me to get going and listen the music!

iPhone Application

Annie scolded me for being lazy that I didn't blog about my experience from last night. Well, I'm going to tell you what happened but do not get too excited.

Last night I was playing with my iPhone game application. I noticed one application Annie put on my iPhone and I haven't seen it before. It was a music application that can make a listing depend on the mood what I want to listen. I was playing with it and see how it works. I thought it would be neat if I could listen the music while I play the game on my iPhone. Nice!

After I fixed the mood setting on the program and started to play the game. I think second or third song made me stop the game. I was puzzled and tried to focus the music. I wasn't sure myself but something familiar about this song. At that moment, I was haste because I was not sure if I was right about the song. I checked the music what it called.. True ENOUGH! I was right and it was "For Good" from Wicked! I laughed at myself that I got it right by listening the song!

"For Good"

I had to share with Annie and she asked me how I knew it was. I was not sure how I identify but somehow almost end of the music, the witch sang "for good" that reminds me of theater when I went last November. Amazed! But it's only tiny step and it's not a ball rolling down the hill yet.

The Weekend

I went to see the WICKED in NYC!

And we visited the Emerald City, umm, lot of GREEN in there..

Excited to see the Wicked.

Annie came along with me.

Neat stuff on the stage even the dragon.

That's my proof. I was here.

Had to take another proof as well.

Annie liked this picture. See Green? It's the Emerald City.

You see the coolest technology I'm holding in my hand. That technology is called captioned, funny name. Yes, I was able to watch and read the words of their conversations and songs. I loved it. I loved one song called, No Good Deed. I do not know why but oh well.. :D

The result that I LOVED the show even it was little too loud for me. But I was able to handle the loudness and enjoyed it anyway. I wish the book was not so awful to read--DARN! The author wrote several books about Emerald City and I wanted to learn more about it but it has lot of bad things in it. I'm not go for it--Clean books, will read it. Dirty books, will not touch it.
